Raycap’s Rayvoss systems feature Strikesorb modules integrated into NEMA-4 rated enclosures to provide stand-alone transient voltage surge suppression (TVSS) protection from lightning strikes, power surges, power spikes, power blinks and power sags.

Strikesorb modules provide real protection
Strikesorb modules provide uninterrupted protection from surge currents up to 200kA – the only TVSS system to do so while exceeding the new UL-1449 standard (3rd edition) without the use of internal fuses. At the heart of the Rayvoss system, the Strikesorb module’s unique construction features a single large distribution-grade metal oxide varistor (MOV) disc in a hermetic aluminum housing. This provides a straight electrical path directly to the suppressionelement, resulting in an extremely low contact resistance and superior heat dissipation mechanism to prevent aging of the metal oxide varistor.
